 اسلام آباد ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ پاسبان وطن پاکستان کے چیئرمین شیخ مختار احمد ۔مرکزی صدر و سابق وزیر سیاحت و ٹرانسپورٹ محمد طاہر کھوکھر ۔ نائب صدر محترمہ نورین نور اور جنرل سیکرٹری امجد محمود بھٹی نے نئے سال کی آمد کے موقع پر اپنے پیغام میں کہا ہے کہ نیا سال ریاست کے عوام کے لیے نئی امیدنئے خواب اور ایک نئی سیاسی سمت کے ساتھ طلوع ہو رہا ہے تاہم اب وقت آ گیا ہے کہ عوام ماضی کی ان غلطیوں کو دہرانا بند کریں جنہوں نے قوم کو بار بار بحرانوں میں دھکیلا۔انہوں نے عوام کو نئے سال کی مبارکباد دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان اور کشمیر گزشتہ کئی دہائیوں سے مورثی اور خاندانی سیاست کی گرفت میں ہیں جہاں اقتدار چند مخصوص خاندانوں کے گرد گھومتا رہتا ہے عملاً پاکستان اور کشمیر میں ایک ایسا دو جماعتی نظام نافذ ہے جو نسل در نسل اقتدار پر قابض رہ کر عوام کے وسائل حقوق اور مستقبل کا استحصال کر رہا ہے جو نسل در نسل اقتدار پر قابض رہ کر عوام کا خون چوس رہا ہے یہی وجہ ہے کہ عام آدمی آج بھی بنیادی سہولیات زندگی تعلیم صحت روزگار اور تحفظ سے محروم ہے۔ طاہر کھوکھر نے کہا کہ موجودہ حکمران طبقہ عوام سے کٹ چکا ہے اور اقتدار کے نشے میں اس حد تک مبتلا ہو چکا ہے کہ انہیں عوام کی جان و مال کی کوئی پروا نہیں رہی آج عام شہری کے لیے دو وقت کی روٹی کا حصول مشکل ہو چکا ہے مہنگائی نے عوام کی کمر توڑ دی ہے بے روزگاری میں مسلسل اضافہ ہو رہا ہے اور نوجوان مایوسی کا شکار ہیں یہ تمام حالات اس بات کا ثبوت ہیں کہ موجودہ سیاسی نظام عوام کو ریلیف دینے میں مکمل طور پر ناکام ہو چکا ہے۔پاسبان وطن پاکستان کے مرکزی صدر نے کہا کہ نئی نسل اور ریاست کے مستقبل کو محفوظ بنانے کے لیے ضروری ہے کہ مورثی خاندانی سیاست کو مکمل طور پر مسترد کیا جائے جب تک سیاست کو چند خاندانوں کی جاگیر سمجھنے کا تصور ختم نہیں ہوگا اس وقت تک نہ تو حقیقی جمہوریت قائم ہو سکتی ہے اور نہ ہی عوام کو انصاف اور خوشحالی مل سکتی ہے۔انہوں نے کہا کہ پاسبان وطن پاکستان نے عوام کو ایک نئی سیاسی جماعت نئی سوچ اور نئی قیادت فراہم کی ہے جس کا مقصد صرف اقتدار کا حصول نہیں بلکہ نظام کی اصلاح ہے اس جماعت کے پلیٹ فارم سے قابل پڑھے لکھے باصلاحیت اور دیانتدار نوجوانوں کو آگے آنے کا موقع دیا جا رہا ہے تاکہ وہ ملکی و ریاستی سیاست میں مثبت کردار ادا کر سکیں کشمیر اور پاکستان کو آج ایسے نوجوانوں کی اشد ضرورت ہے جو ذاتی مفادات برادری ازم اور خاندانی وابستگیوں سے بالاتر ہو کر صرف عوام اور ریاست کی خدمت کو اپنا نصب العین بنائیں نیا سال عوام کے لیے ایک نئے عہد کا آغاز ہونا چاہیے جس میں عوام اپنے ووٹ کی طاقت کو پہچانیں اور سوچ سمجھ کر فیصلہ کریں ریاست اور ملک کو بچانے کے لیے دو جماعتی خاندانی اور مورثی سیاسی جمود کو توڑنا ناگزیر ہو چکا ہے کیونکہ یہی جمود ملک کی ترقی کی راہ میں سب سے بڑی رکاوٹ ہے جب تک چند مخصوص خاندان کی اجارہ داری ختم نہیں ہوگی اس وقت تک حقیقی جمہوریت اور عوامی خوشحالی کا خواب شرمند تعبیر نہیں ہو سکتا۔

Ahsan Rashid Dar to Contest Elections 2026

 Ahsan Rashid Dar, a prominent social activist and former Chairman of the Secretariat Election Committee, has announced his candidacy for the upcoming elections from Kotla constituency. He stated that Kotla is the most backward constituency in Azad Kashmir, with 70% of the population living below the poverty line. He blamed the political leadership, particularly Sardar Javed Ayub, Ms. Sadaf Sheikh, Ms. Noreen Arif, and Raja Arif, for exploiting the people by entangling them in petty politics and securing their own future generations' prosperity.

In a statement, Ahsan Rashid Dar said that the dark era of Kotla is coming to an end, and the people have become aware. In the upcoming elections, the people of Kotla will change the course of history and hold the looters accountable. He said he will be the voice of the oppressed and marginalized people of Kotla, and the voice of the workers, laborers, and unemployed youth will not only be heard in the corridors of power but will also shake the foundations of the establishment.

He announced that the process of accountability will begin before the elections, starting with an audit of the MLA funds for the past 15 years. The people's money was embezzled by a handful of power-brokers, but it will be recovered and spent on the welfare of the poor people of Kotla. He appealed to the people of Kotla to support him and take their rights from the traditional politicians, saying he is ready to make any sacrifice for the people of Kotla.

Laurie wiseberg

 In late 2023, for the second time, I succumbed to severe depression, exhausted by the circumstances, and remained confined to a room for over a year. In late 2025, perhaps October or November, with the help and encouragement of some good friends, I started reflecting on my life after returning to normalcy. The results were disheartening. In the jungle of human life, I tried to count the good people I met, and they were just a few. May Allah keep them all safe.

Among those few people, I remembered Dr. Laurie S. Wiserg, my ideal, an advocate for basic human rights, who spent her life working for the welfare of humanity affected by natural disasters and war. Laurie was appointed as Head of Protection Cluster in Muzaffarabad in 2006. At that time, over 128,000 registered and countless unregistered IDPs were living in miserable conditions in Muzaffarabad and Bagh camps. The government and other agencies were present to further devastate these victims.

Fortunately, Pervez Musharraf was the President of Pakistan, Cynthia Veliko was the UN Resident Coordinator in Pakistan, and Laurie Wiwseberg, followed by Ustina Kuprechik, were present in Muzaffarabad. If they weren't there, our political leadership and bureaucracy would have pushed us back to the Stone Age.

After returning to life post-depression, I checked Laurie's Facebook wall, which was silent, and her inbox had no emails after 2023. Further checks revealed that Laurie Wiserg had passed away on October 11, 2023. This news was shocking for me, as I never imagined a smiling face could become silent. Anyway, it's Allah's will; every human has to play their part on this stage and disappear behind the curtain.

I pay tribute to Laurie Wiseberg's services to humanity and basic human rights. During her 6-month stay in Muzaffarabad, Laurie left an indelible mark of service to humanity, and today, she is still alive in the hearts of hundreds of IDPs from that time. Her admirers from Leepa to Neelum Valley are still there.

I remember how many innocent, simple, and elderly women from Jhelum and Neelum Valley would invite Laurie to stay with them forever, and she would smile and remain silent. I know that Laurie's passing is a shock to the humanitarian community, and her void may never be filled. It's a great tragedy for her family, especially her son and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

We, the 2025 earthquake victims of Muzaffarabad, share the grief of Laurie Wiseberg's family. Goodbye, not only Laurie of Montreal, but Laurie of the World.
