A high-level delegation of Pasban Watan Pakistan, led by its central president Muhammad Tahir Khokhar, met with Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, in Islamabad. Miss Noreen Noor, Vice President, Ahsan Rashid Dar, Information Secretary, Saad Khokhar, and Rehan were part of the delegation.
The delegation briefed the Prime Minister about the long-standing issues faced by Overseas Kashmiris and local citizens, including the OPF Housing Scheme scandal. The delegation highlighted that the scheme, meant for the welfare of Overseas Kashmiris, has been mismanaged, with no development work done, and basic amenities not provided. They demanded cancellation of illegal allotments, restoration of public land, and action against those responsible.
The Prime Minister assured the delegation of a thorough inquiry, and promised to resolve the issues. He emphasized the importance of protecting Overseas Kashmiris' rights and investments, and assured that no one will be disappointed.
